Our Mission
What We Stand For
The mission of Cypress Grove Academy is to provide students with the joy of a Christ-centered, classical education that nurtures the heart and challenges the mind. Partnering with parents, our school exists to teach students to love God and practice virtue by pursuing truth, beauty, and goodness. The vision of the school is to shape the habits and affections of its students through Christ-centered, classical education that they may think logically, speak truthfully, and live virtuously. The desire is that through rigorous, yet joyful learning, students humbly and courageously bring gospel-hope to our city as effectual kingdom ambassadors.
Our Vision
Teaching kids to grow in a love for Christ
Kindergarten is the roots of a Childs education. We strive to help your child learn and grow into who they are, and who they want to be. We want them to express creativity in the way that honors the Lord.
1-6th Grades are pivotal years in a Childs development. At Cypress Grove Academy, we want to guide your children through those years in a way that honors the Lord. We want them to learn to trust in God and let him guide them in every aspect of that, from learning, to activities, to friendships.
Middle School is a time in a child’s life that where they truly begin to step into their individuality, and begin to fine tune what they like and don’t like. They begin to form friendships that can form their lives. At Cypress Grove, we teach them that friendships modeled after the Lord are ones that can help you grow to be who He wants you to be, and to be someone who will always honor Him.
A Message From
Our Head of school
I love how stories reach and teach us in ways that nothing else can. And the story I can never get over is the True One that changed everything: how God
stooped low and became one of us to rescue and redeem and re-story us. So getting to be part of a school whose very mission – at the core of a robust and beautiful education – is to rehearse the Gospel story over and over again, to teach kids that they are more sinful and in need of a Savior than they could ever know and also more loved in Christ than they could ever dare to hope (props to Tim Keller), to pray and work to make disciples that will follow hard after Christ long after they have left CGA, is a dream come true. Even more of a dream come true than being a children’s librarian! I can’t wait to put on one of my 14 cardigans and walk through the halls of CGA next week, praying for and getting to know our precious students.
